Maimonides Upper School
6th - 12th grade
Where exploration and dynamic learning inspire success
At Maimonides Upper School (MUS), academic excellence and Jewish values create a unique and enriching high school experience. As a vibrant and inclusive community, we take pride in nurturing each student's intellectual, spiritual, and personal growth. Here, tradition and innovation intertwine, empowering our students to embark on a journey of discovery to understand their passions. Our faculty and community inspire, guide, and support you and your students every step of the way.
The upper school experience is designed to nurture students' growth as independent and confident learners. By engaging in the educational program in our upper school, SDJA students grapple with complex ideas and learn to persevere through gathering and analyzing data to design solutions and create meaning for the world around them.
The school has many course offerings in all subjects, span project-based opportunities in science, humanities, and Jewish studies classrooms, and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Thinking, where students gather and learn together in dialogue. Regardless of the subject, our classroom experience is designed so that students develop positive relationships with their peers and faculty. Through these relationships and learning experiences, students develop the skills necessary to flourish in life.
Ours is a school where learning and growth occur continuously across campus – in the labs, studios, quad, fields and courts, and classrooms. When our students graduate, they thoughtfully approach opportunities and challenges, create and maintain lifelong relationships, and actively embody a meaningful, informed, and personal connection to Judaism, Israel, and the Jewish people.
